Love Rekindled: 'General Hospital' Star Rena Sofer and Sanford Bookstaver Remarry on Their Would-Be 21st Anniversary

'General Hospital' actress Rena Sofer and her once ex-husband, now husband again, Sanford Bookstaver, celebrated their love in a unique way by remarrying on what would have been their 21st wedding anniversary, seven years after their divorce. The 55-year-old star, alongside her co-stars Brook Lynn and Chase who recently tied the knot, took to Instagram on Monday to announce their second 'I do.'

The couple shared heartfelt images from their vow renewal ceremony, with Sofer stunning in a white pantsuit and her hair elegantly straightened and parted to the side. Bookstaver complemented her in a classic black tuxedo, his affection palpable as he embraced his bride.

In her emotional Instagram caption, Sofer wrote, "This weekend on what would have been our 21st wedding anniversary I got to re-marry my best friend @sbookstaver once again! The journey we are about to begin is the most exciting adventure, in a new state and town, but most thrilling is that we get to do it together as husband and wife!"

She reflected on their time apart as both humbling and heartbreaking, yet crucial for their eventual reunion. "The love I have for you now is the foundation of my life," she continued, expressing her joy in their reunion.

Her husband responded in the comments, "I love you more than anything my wife!" and shared his own post, celebrating their rekindled romance and looking forward to their future together.

The Daytime Emmy winner and the television director first married in 2003 and have one daughter together. They originally split in 2017 but reconciled two years later, with their recent engagement announced in April before remarrying this weekend.

Fans of the couple have expressed their support and joy for their reunion, celebrating the love story that brought them back together.
