British woman arrested for silently praying outside abortion clinic

A charity volunteer was detained and charged on four counts after telling police she "may" be praying silently when asked why she was near an abortion clinic.
Police approached Isabel Vaughan-Spruce in Kings Norton, Birmingham. Officers approached Vaughan-Spruce, who had no sign and was silent. An onlooker assumed Vaughan-Spruce was softly praying.

"It's terrible that I was searched, detained, and prosecuted for praying in private. Censorship zones supposedly ban harassing, which is illegal. Harassment is wrong. I was exercising my freedom of thought and religion in the privacy of my own thoughts. Isabel Vaughan-Spruce said nobody should be criminalized in the UK for thinking and praying in public.
Birmingham's censorship zone criminalizes "any act of approbation or disapproval or attempted act" in relation to abortion, including "verbal or written methods, prayer or therapy..."
