Indiana Community Mourns Tragic Loss: 10-Year-Old Boy Takes His Life Due to Severe Bullying

A 10-year-old boy from Indiana tragically took his own life after enduring severe bullying at school, his family revealed to local news outlets. Sammy Teusch, a fourth-grader at Greenfield Intermediate School in Greenfield, Indiana, died on May 5 following ongoing emotional and physical torment. His father, Sam Teusch, expressed anguish, stating, "How could God take my kid from here? Of course, that was going through my head. God didn’t take my kid; hate did." Sammy had been recently bullied on the school bus and cornered in a bathroom.
Described as a bright and empathetic child, Sammy's family initiated a GoFundMe campaign to honor his memory and provide him with a proper farewell. The circumstances surrounding Sammy's death are under investigation by the Greenfield-Central Community School Corporation and the Greenfield Police Department. The school district expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and pledged support for the Teusch family and the wider community. In response to rumors circulating, the police chief urged open dialogue about bullying and encouraged victims to seek assistance from trusted adults or authorities.
