When Trina McGee was cast as Angela Moore, Shawn Hunter’s love interest, in the ABC sitcom "Boy Meets World," she was a 28-year-old mother of two.
Significantly older than most of her co-stars, including then-17-year-old Rider Strong who played Shawn, Trina has often reflected on the unique stage of life she was in compared to the rest of the cast.
Trina joined the show in its fifth season in 1997 and remained a regular until its finale in 2000. She had married Courtland Davis in 1991, and they had two children together by the time she debuted as Angela.
Recently, Trina surprised fans by revealing that she was six months pregnant during the filming of the "Boy Meets World" episode “And Then There Was Shawn,” which was shot and aired in February 1998.
After splitting from Courtland in 2001, Trina married actor Marcello Thedford in 2008. On Monday, 26 years after the birth of her third child, Trina announced that she is pregnant with her fourth child at the age of 54.
This baby will be her and Marcello’s first child together. Trina asked fans for “prayers for a safe delivery” as she shared the exciting news.
“At the tender age of 54, I have found myself pregnant,” she wrote. “Please bless us with your prayers for a safe delivery. Thank you."
She added in the post’s caption, “Gonna sign off social media for a bit. Thanks for your prayers and well wishes in advance.”
