"In response to what happened, I sought professional help. I entered therapy and underwent rehabilitation," Combs disclosed.
"I turned to God, seeking His mercy and grace," he added.
Cassie's legal representatives sharply criticized Sean "Diddy" Combs following his attempt to apologize after a video surfaced showing him assaulting his then-girlfriend in a Los Angeles hotel corridor in 2016.
"Combs' latest statement seems more focused on himself than on acknowledging the pain he has caused," stated Meredith Firetog, a partner at Wigdor LLP, the law firm representing Ventura, in an interview with Fox News Digital.
"When Cassie and other multiple women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday. That he was only compelled to ‘apologize’ once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words."
